Toronto’s Orpheus Choir will join GCC in a double choir concert comprising over 100 voices.
We will premiere “Before the Battle” by Minjoo Kim, our 2026 GCC Composition Competition Winner, and Guelph’s own Swani Zubayeer’s choral piece, “Clouds”, written in North Indian Classical style.
You’ll also hear a work by our Emerging Artist, Drew Aarssen!
Other repertoire includes music by Eric Whitacre and Canadian composers Kathleen Allan, and Jeanette Gallant.
This will be a sonic and spatial experience of lush harmonies and surprising soundscapes.
An additional performance will take place in Toronto on May 2. Tickets to that concert are available through the Orpheus Choir website.
