Nov 5, 2022 Side by Side

Our in‐person season begins with a large‐scale intergenerational community collaboration celebrating the return of choral singing after an extended pandemic. Over 150 voices from four choirs join forces on stage: Guelph Chamber Choir, Guelph Youth Singers, Rainbow Chorus and University of Guelph Choirs.

Nov 27, 2022 A Christmas Story

This year we welcome special guests from the Guelph Guild of Storytellers to our annual family‐friendly Carol Concert, weaving stories, songs, and sing‐along carols into a 60‐minute program at St. George’s Anglican Church.

Dec 17/22 Messiah

George Frederic Handel’s monumental and moving oratorio offers a message of hope and renewal that is especially fitting for this season of rejuvenation. Our popular annual choral tradition is presented at River Run Centre, complete with chamber orchestra and guest soloists.

Apr 1, 2023 A Choral Vigil for Peace

Our final concert of the season, at Guelph’s Basilica, is a collaboration with Toronto’s renowned Amadeus Choir. The program features excerpts from Rachmaninoff’s beloved Vigil to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth. As a counterpoint to this liturgical music, we have co‐commissioned Toronto Metis composer Ian Cusson to imagine a modern reflection of the Vigil.
