She has appeared with Opera Neo as a Studio Artist, covering the role of Asprano in Vivaldi’s Motezuma, and portrayed Moira in Poul Ruders’ The Handmaid’s Tale at the Banff Centre’s Interplay Young Artist Program this past summer.\nTeresa has also worked in commercial media and television, with appearances in numerous Canadian and U.S. productions—most recently in Season 7 of Discovery Channel’s Fear Thy Neighbor.\nRebecca Crane, Alto\nOriginally from Sioux Lookout in northwestern Ontario, Rebecca Crane is a mezzo-soprano of Anishinaabe First Nations with Irish, English, and German heritage. As an Indigenous singer, she is constantly learning more about her culture and connect it through her performances. She has performed works such as River Tales: One Day, Forever (B. McKiver) and selections from Five Songs on Poems by Marilyn Dumont (Cusson). Programming works by Indigenous composers is integral to her recital performances and fundamental to her artistic output.\nShe has been a featured soloist for National Day for Truth & Reconciliation at the Don Wright Faculty of Music, Grand River Opera, Stratford Summer Music Vocal Academy, The Banff Centre, and Stratford Concert Choir. Recently, she has learned and performed the roles of Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Tisbe (La Cenerentola), the Witch (Hansel & Gretel), and Lady Angela (Patience). Other performance experience includes singing in the Masterworks Festival at Carnegie Hall in New York City, NY, and with the Regina Symphony Orchestra in Regina, SK.\nA recent graduate of the Bachelor of Music program at Western University, she is now based out of London, ON. She is currently completing her Master of Music degree at Western studying under the tutelage of Canadian soprano Jackie Short. Rebecca is grateful for the support from her friends, family, and community, and is honoured to be making her debut with Guelph Chamber Choir.\n\nColin Ainsworth, Tenor\nCanadian tenor Colin Ainsworth has built a career defined by versatility and dramatic presence, captivating audiences with repertoire ranging from the Baroque to the present day. His performances have taken him to the stages of the Royal Opera House, Canadian Opera Company, Glimmerglass Opera, the Greek National Opera, Teatro Nacional São Carlos, and Seattle Opera, as well as Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra (San Francisco), and Carnegie Hall.\nThis season, Colin returns to the Vancouver Bach Choir for Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, the Grand Philharmonic Choir for Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, and the Elmer Iseler Singers for Handel’s Messiah, which he recently performed with Dame Jane Glover and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. A frequent collaborator of Toronto’s Opera Atelier, Colin recently appeared as Tamino in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, after critical acclaim in the titular role of Charpentier’s David and Jonathan with the company last season.\n\nBen Wallace, Baritone\nBen Wallace is a baritone, conductor, pianist, and teacher currently studying in the University of Toronto opera program. He was the recipient of the Laurier Alumni Gold Medal, a finalist for UofT’s Norcop Prize in Song, and a winner of the Laurier Concerto Competition. Ben’s solo performances Bird in Ian Cusson’s new chamber opera Indians on Vacation, Pandolfe in Cendrillon, Le Dancaïre/Moralès in Carmen, Billy Bigelow in Carousel, Duruflé’s Requiem, Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem, John Brooke in Little Women, and Barone Douphol/Dottore Grenvil in La traviata. \nBen formed his own KW-based chamber choir and orchestra in 2022 and has since conducted the world premières of three choral works by Canadian composer Justin Lapierre.\n\nArthur Gammage, Soprano\n\nArthur Gammage is an 11-year-old treble living in Mississauga, Ontario. Arthur has been singing for most of his life and is passionate about baroque and classical music. Arthur’s favourite composer is Handel, and he is inspired by Polish countertenor Jakub Orliński’s unique style, blending classical technique with modern flair. Arthur is a soloist with the Principal Chorus of the Canadian Children’s Opera Company, and will be appearing as Fritz in the Canadian Opera Company’s upcoming production of Massenet’s Werther. Arthur has also performed at many charity concerts and church events in the Greater Toronto Area. Apart from singing, Arthur enjoys playing piano and dancing; he has won awards for both in local competitions. \nThis is Arthur’s second Messiah with the Guelph Chamber Choir.\n \n \n
