On February 24, youth from local high school programs joined us for an afternoon clinic with Sudanese musician, Waleed Abdulhamid, a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, and Director of City Choir.
Waleed led the group through the creation and performance of a new work and our own Emerging Artist Composer-In-Residence, Silas Chinsen, went through a similar process with the students, creating a new work based on the words of Harriet Tubman.
