We close our season with one of John Rutter’s most moving works, his Requiem, which he wrote after the death of his own father. In it, Rutter combines both the traditional Latin liturgy alongside English biblical verses to create a work steeped in tradition, yet always viewed through a modern lens.

The first half of this concert will feature the award-winning, American composer Jake Runestad’s Ave Verum, a modern examination of Mozart’s well-loved motet of the same name.
